Chapter 1.4

Chapter 4, Generation 1
Goodbye?
Jack was working hard to earn his place with Alex.  He spent his time cleaning everything that could be cleaned, and making her dinner (well, they didn't have a stove yet so he made her cereal).

Today, in particular, was the day he planned to marry Alex.  It had been a year since they got engaged, and they had fallen deeply in love.

His plan was to build them a house while Alex was at work, and she would be so elated she couldn't say no.

And the plan began, and he build them a plain old shack filled with everything they already had, except he bought a double bed so they no longer had to sleep in shifts, plus walls and a roof.

Jack was pretty proud of himself when he saw the finished product.  Even though it was the equivelent of a shack, it inspired Jack to be the best carpenter, considering he wanted to max out 3 skills.

Alex was so surprised and elated they had a private wedding in front of their new home.

They didn't even care that he was wearing his old beat-up jeans and his shirt covered in sawdust and she was wearing her frumpy work uniform.

It was a romantic occasion, Jack had been practicing his vows in the mirror while Alex was at work.
Alex was so charismatic, she had made one up on the spot, and it may have been better than Jack's!

After the rings were exchanged, they had their first kiss as a married couple.  They never really were over affectionate towards eachother, but it just made this kiss all the more special.

A FEW MONTHS LATER

Jack was spending most of his time at home, where  he pretty much did whatever he wanted, considering he did not have a job.

He spent a lot of time singing in front of the mirror, though he wasn't very good.  It was one of the skills he planned to master, he was a virtuso after all.

Unfortunately, as fun as this was for Jack, it wasn't very fun for Alex.  She was the only one working, and she still had a pretty measly income, so there would be no stove (or guitar for Jack) for quite a while.

So Jack wasn't the best roomate for a neat, hardworking woman such as Alexandria.

Not only was Jack unemployed, he was also a major slob.
Alex even caught him licking the remainders off a dirty plate...

It was starting to make her angry, she wanted to make a good impression on her collegues, considering they would want to meet him once she starts campaigning.

But Alex was so in love with him, and the fact that she was married, she chose to ignore it all.

Soon she was noticing she was having to wear looser and looser clothes, just to fit her buldging stomach.  She had no second guesses on what was happening-- (she couldn't be gaining weight, she ate like a bird) she must be pregnant with her first baby.

But the problem was, she didn't know how she would tell Jack-- she specifically remembered him getting ticked off by some little kids when they went to a picnic at the park.

She decided to put the subject gently.

"Jack, we are having a baby,"

He showed no emotion.

"Jack," she repeated.

"This is wonderful!" Jack yelped as he pulled her into a hug.

5 MONTHS LATER

Alex was getting moodier and moodier.  She finally snapped at Jack once he complained about having to fix the shower:

"Jack, you can't be complaining!  I'm the one who supports us, and we still barely have a home!  How do expect us to be able to take care of a baby when we have no room!"

"Why don't we move into a larger house?"

"Because, we can't afford one because you don't have a job!"

"My job is fixing everything in the house, and being your husband, which currently is getting hard to do!"

"Try harder then!" Alex yelled, enable to keep her anger subdued.

And so called a taxi, and he was gone.

5 MONTHS LATER (again)

Alexandria was starting to find it tough to be alone.  She hated not having someone to wake up next to in the morning.  She hated not being able to hold someone in her arms.  She hated how he left.  He hated how she made him leave.  She hated herself for making him leave.

But then, when she was outside washing the dishes, she felt the worst pain she had ever experienced: her waters breaking.

She felt like she couldn't move, or reach into her pocket and get her phone to call the ambuelence.

So that was when she knew this was the time she needed Jack the most, and she cried--she cried because of the physical pain, and the emotional pain.

ONE YEAR LATER

Time has passed, but Alexandria had not moved on.  She even considered called Connor again, but she was sure, that just like all her friends, he had found his other half.  But of course, so did Alex.  But he was gone.  He left her more than just a broken heart.  He left her a son, a beautiful boy named Brady Bloome.

AUTHOR'S NOTE:  Hey readers, this is Dahlia, and I can't decide if I want to continue this legacy or not, and if I don't I will start a Sims story, so please vote in the sidebar~ thanks xox Dahlia

Chapter 1.3

Chapter 3, Generation 1
A Change Of Heart

It was about seven by the time Alexandria arrived at the Bistro.

"Before we sit down, I have something to tell you, Connor." she said quietly as she gently smoothed some stray auburn hairs back.

"Yes, anything, but I am starved, what do you think you will get?"  Connor responded.  He was more open now than when he was in front of City Hall, however he was ignoring the question.

When she looked at Connor, he was staring expectantly at her, waiting for her response.  He knew it wouldn't be good.

"Connor, I think we should just be friends.  I don't know if I can go through with this," she said, trying to back up her quivering words with strength.

"What?"

"I know you heard me..."

You and I will be great together, we both love books, and we are both just awkward people trying to get along with life.  Let's face it, we probably aren't going to find anyone else." He shouted as he stormed off.

Alexandria looked down at her shoes,  unable to form words.

How could he say that to me?
What does he mean I won't find anyone else?
What about-
No.
Not him.  He's just....

These thoughts raced through Alexandria's mind as she ate alone, just like usual.

Thought Alexandria knew Connor was partially true about her awkwardly stumbling her way through life, she knew what was right and she knew she had to be able do what she wanted, and what was right for her, and her future.

She couldn't lie to herself anymore.

As soon as she finished her lonely meal, she walked out to the street and hailed a taxi.

It was time for her to face the facts and go to where she was supposed to be.

As she arrived in front of the house, she mustered up all of her courage and walked forward to ring the doorbell.

The home had a comforting feel to it, despite the cold colors in the paint and stone.

Then she heard footsteps coming to the door, and the door creaked open.

"Hey, looks like Alex decided to drop by," he said.

"Oh, hello Jack, may I come in?" she said awkwardly.

"Anything for my hobo buddy," He said, holding the door open for him, quite gentlemanly.

The inside of the house was like the outside, strangely welcoming, like coming to a place you have never been before, but you know that's where you should be.

She followed him into the den.

"So what's up," he said, raising his ice-blonde eyebrows.

"I just broke it off with the guy I was seeing tonight,"

"I thought so,"

"Okay, I am going to be completely honest here," Alexandria gulped, "I cannot deny that I am totally attracted to you,"

"Hmm, I feel the same way," he grinned.

So Alexandria boldly leaned forward to give into her inner desires and kiss him.

"Woah, slow down there, speedy, whatcha think you're doing," he laughed.

"I thought you felt the same way I did,"

"Yeah, I do,"

"Then why-"

"Well, Alex, you just broke it off with your to-be boyfriend, and I have too much self confidence to be someone's rebound."

She was taken aback.  A month back, he was practically throwing himself at her, and now he was saying no?

"But I've always felt like this, I just haven't shown it until now! Jack, I've let my guard down for you, and you are the first person I've ever done that for!"

"I really like you Alex, and as much as I want to hold you in my arms, just... just... not yet.  I don't want to be a rebound, like I said." He stated sadly.

He walked away, and Alexandria could have sworn she saw a tear slip down his cheek.

He crouched down on the couch, and covered his freckled face with his hands.

Alexandria hurried outside, and she stood at the edge of the sidewalk, her frown was plastered to her face.  Her shoulders were slumped instead of the usual prim-and-proper stance they normally represented.

She stood and stared for a while, time seemed to slow down, and then she felt a hand on her shoulder.

She turned around and snapped out of her daze.

It was Jack.

"I can't be without you, I sat down and I knew that this would be my only chance of being with someone I am so drawn to," he shrugged.

"Jack, thank you,"

"I don't know what I was thinking, I was just surprised, all I want is you, and I've made a big decision, I-"

"It's okay, Jack, I just-

Their words were jumbling together and Jack was nervously fiddling for something in his pocket, when Alexandria leaned forward and pulled him in a tight embrace.

They held each other for a long time, and she inhaled his cologne deeply.

It was perfect.  She never wanted to let go.  At that moment, she forgot about everything- her job, Connor, her hobo-esque living conditions.

Then he let go and said something she had been waiting to hear her whole life:

"Alex, I don't know what love is like, but I can tell you honestly that this is the strongest I have ever felt for someone."

Alex covered her mouth.

"I think I love you, Alex," He whispered.

Then he began to fiddle with his pocket.

And he got down on one knee.

And he opened a small, light blue box.

"This is my mothers ring I have kept with me for someone, for you, who captures my heart. And before you say no, I am not asking you to marry me.  I this may be an engagement ring, but this ring is a promise.  It is a promise that I care for you more than any material posession, and possibly more than I care for myself.  I knew when I first met you that the chemistry between you and I was special.  It took me that ten minutes to realize all this, and I know this may be quick, but I don't want to let you go.  This ring represents for me a promise that I have made to never stop loving you.  There is no one else for me.  For you, it represents that you agree to this and that you want to be with me.  Even if you say no, I will still feel the same.  So will you take this ring, Alex?" he stated, his face glowing.

Alexandria's mouth hung open, and she covered her gasp with her hands.

Was this what I had been drawn to Sunset Valley for?  Can I handle this? Can I reciprocate these feelings?  she thought.

Her instinct kicked in, and she screamed the most important word ever:

YES.

Chapter 1.2

 Chapter 2, Generation 1
Other Half
It was almost half a year since Alexandria had moved to Sunset Valley, the place where her new, glamourous start was supposed to begin.  So far, it wasn't even close.  She had been promoted to Campaign Intern, where she basically did whatever the politicians asked her to do.  Get some Donuts? On her way there. Coffee? Just finished.  Back Rub? She didn't have a choice.  If she wanted work at the spa, she would have signed up.

But something she was waiting to happen, happened while she was out reading a book she had to read for a new politician.

There was a particularly handsome man on the other side of a pillar reading a book.

Could this be fate?  Well, Alexandria sure hoped so.

She closed her book, placed it in her bag, and took several deep breaths.  She wasn't the best with men, even if she was a hopeless romantic.  The last man that showed an interest in her was Jack Freeman, and that turned out terribly.

So she sauntered over, and greeted him charismatically, because she had been practicing in her mirror.

"Hi, I'm Alexandria, and I was wondering what book you were reading?" She said, shaking.

"Oh, you wouldn't understand it," he said quietly, putting it away.

"Was that Where's Bella?  I read that as my college reading report my freshman year."

He raised his eyebrows.

"Well, anyway, like I said, my name is Alexandria, and I work her as a campaign intern."

He looked longingly at the book in his pocket, and turned back to Alexandria and said softly:

"I'm Connor Frio, and I'm a spell checker- er, writer."

"I love to read, I was just reading a book over there."

"Mmhmm," he said.

"Do you think you'd like to go out to dinner sometime?"

"What?"

That was when Alexandria discovered his unfortunate trait: Unflirty.

"I mean, you are quite handsome,"

"Excuse me?"

Alexandria was just about ready to go into a full blown panic attack- she was neurotic, after all.  She then decided to be bold, and go for it.  If she really wanted a relationship with this guy, she had to start now.

So she bit her lip, and reached forward and grabbed his hands.

"So how about we go out for dinner?  Get to know each other a little better?"

"Um,"

"So how about I meet you at the Bistro around eight tomorrow?"

"Um,"

"Well, its getting dark, I should probably go..."

"Don't leave," He said at a normal loudness this time, reaching out to hold her shoulder.  It send electricity through her body at the contact.

This was it! Alexandria could already see there family together!  Growing old!  Well, she knew it was a lot to expect, and unrealistic, but who cared! Not her!

"I have to say goodbye," he said, and pulled her close.

And he kissed her.

THE NEXT DAY

"HEY ALEX!" she heard from across the park.

Oh no. Oh no no no no no no.  It was him.

"Shiznip," she whispered to herself, covering her mouth.

She heard footsteps approaching.  He probably wanted to go see the local hobo again.

"Long time no see, eh?"

"Yes, I suppose so."  She said without any emotion.

"I heard your working as a podium polisher, hows that working out?" He snickered.

Her cheeks reddened.

"I am most definitely not a podium polisher, I am a campaign intern, mind you," she snapped.

"Yes, of course Alex.  Quite glamourous, I might add.  So, now that we are caught up, I was thinking we could go see a movie tomorrow..."

"Oh, sorry, I can't."

His smiled flashed to a frown.

"Why not?  I-"

"I am on a date, unlike you, because I am seeing someone, also unlike you,"

"I wasn't asking for a date, you know."  He shot back.

Alexandria sighed, pulled out her book and strolled to the nearest chair, and sat down.

Ignore him, Alexandria.  You have Connor, who's shy and sweet, and loves to read.... Unlike Jack who's loud, obnoixous, and handsome.  Connor is yours.  But maybe a movie would be fun, with someone.  Without Jack, yes!  That is what I want! Of course! Alexandria tried to convince herself.

She was having a lot of trouble focusing on the book she had to read.  She had a date tomorrow, a man pestering her, and a job to complete.

Then she heard the footsteps haunting her, and she didn't even look up.

"Well, you know how you said you were seeing someone?" He asked.

"Yeah,"

"Well, so am I.  Her name is Jaime.  And she is smokin' hot. "

"Hmm,"

A few minutes passed by, and then Jack contradicted himself by saying:

"Are you sure you don't want to go to a movie?"

Chapter 1.1

Generation 1, Chapter 1
A New Home

Meet Alexandria.

Today was the first day of her new life at a small town off the coast of Sim City called Sunset Valley.  She walked out of the taxi to her new home, that for now, only consisted of a mailbox and a trash can.  Well, this so called new start isn't like I expected it to be, she thought.  Alexandria decided she would start a legacy, to show the world that the Bloomes would not be the same as the old, poverty stricken family of SimCity.

Alexandria decided it was time to get some cash to buy a bed and some other necessary objects, so she walked over to the next door neighbors, the Altos.

As she walked up the driveway, a man was taking out the garbage.  He introduced himself as the head of the Alto household.  Alexandria quickly zoned out of the conversation, which wasn't a great thing for a future political woman like herself, but at this time it helped.  She looked at the trash can.  It was full of objects that she could sell for a tidy sum of cash!

She knew she had to wait for them to go inside for her "master plan" to work.  Unfortunately, it would be extremely embarrassing if she was caught in the act, especially if someone took a picture.  Then there would be no way she would become a world leader.
"So where do you live?" the man asked snootily.
"Me? Oh, I'm your next door neighbor..." she said quietly.
"You live on that old plot of land, eh?" He snickered.  "I never took you for the poor type.  Goodbye."
As he left in a huff, Alexandria quickly dove into the trash can to receive anything worth a profit.

Then, disaster struck as a woman in the window called out.  "WHAT IN THE WORLD IS THAT GIRL DOING??"

That was her que.  She shot up, brushed of the wrappers and newspapers, and bolted.

LATER

Alexandria was practicing a speech in the mirror of her recently built "home" when she heard a car pull
up.
Her eyes widened.
Why couldn't she spend the first bit of her new life alone, without anyone discovering the local Podium Polisher was living like a homeless person, in between the two biggest houses in the city.

Alexandria tried to calm herself down.  Oh, they aren't coming to MY house, just the next door neighbors.  Just keep practicing.  Just keep-

"'Sup."  A man said.
She screamed in surprise. "Who the heck are you?"
"Jack Freeman, and who are you?"
"Why are you here?"
"Just on a drive. And you are?"
"Why did you come to see me?"
"Eh-hem. And you are?"
"My name is Alexandria Bloome.  Explain yourself before I call the cops!"
"I just wanted to visit the local homeless woman, and nice to meet you Alex."
"I am not homeless!"
"So whattya call this place, sweetheart?"
"Do not call me that!"She blushed.
He raised an eyebrow.
"Oh, this place.  Here? Um, this isn't my house." She said shyly, still a little off-guard by his affectionate nickname.
"Whatever you want," he chuckled.
"LEAVE."
And he left.  For some reason, Alexandria--or Alex, as he called her (she liked how he said it)--didn't want him to leave.

Eventually, Alex's luck began to turn.  She got a call from City Hall.  They wanted her to be their Campain Intern!

Maybe her new start wasn't so bad after all...
